Sometimes in the spur of the moment, when you know your blood sugar is dropping, you throw a random assortment of ingredients into a blender, pour it into a cup, take a swill and stop. You realize you just did something great.
OK, that may be an exaggeration, and overly cheesy. But it did turn out pretty good, especially for something so healthy.
Bananas are one of the best sources of potassium and B6. They are also high in vitamin C and manganese. Potassium is essential for maintaining normal blood pressure and heart function.
Cinnamon is well known for its ability to stimulate insulin receptors, increasing the cells' ability to use glucose, maintaining a balanced blood sugar. It is also a delicious and warming herb, helping to bring heat to a weak digestive system. A small amount of cinnamon a day can go a long way.
Ingredients:
Blend till smooth. Top off with a sprinkle of cinnamon & nutmeg if you would like a bit more spice. Sip & smile.
